Cornu, Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru "Les Valoziers" 2017 Burgundy

The Cornu family have been winemakers in the northern Cotes du Beaune since 1870. The winemaking is traditional and unfussy. Their full attention is on guaranteeing that the wines in the bottle best reflect their respective terroir and vintage. The premier cru Valoziers vineyard is located just beneath the grand cru vineyard Corton-Bressandes.The family own just under one acre of vines here. Fifty year old vines on predominantly clay soils offer a wine of breed, elegance, brightness and lovely cherry fruit. This wine has classic structure and focus. Quite a lovely red burgundy...enjoy!
