Sablet is a distinguished terroir in the Cotes du Rhone, given the honor of its name on the wine's label. Known for and named after its sandy soils this is ideal land for the cultivation of white grapes as well as its better known red wines. The blend for this CDR Blanc is classic: predominantly Grenache Blanc, followed by Viognier, and Marsanne and Rousanne. Rich on both the aromatics and palate; complex generous texture; nutty, savory, mineral and wild flowers. This is white Rhone that offers so much yet is priced so gently. Versatile with white meats, seafood and fish, and bloomy cheeses.
