Domaine Meix Foulot, Mercurey Rouge 2020 Burgundy, France

An excellent Red Burgundy that offers character and style all for an attractive price. The de Launay family have been winemakers in Mercurey for multiple generations and in that time have built a reputation for making benchmark wines from this hilly village in the Cote Chalonnaise. Their village red comes is blended from different estate parcels and offers up ripe dark plums, earth and a touch of peppery spice. The wine is classic Pinot in every respect.
