Though there is much wine made in the Languedoc region of France there was a time, not so very long ago, when quality and fine wine were not associated with this area. Thia started to change in no small part due to the dedication of Olivier Jullien and his small domain Mas Jullien which dates from 1985. From terraced vineyards around the slopes of Larzac, parcels divided between clay/ limestone and clay/silica Jullien can be counted on for wines of great freshness, refinement and purity. He blends his Carignan with Syrah allowing the marriage of fruit, vintage and land to express themselves with richness, charm and earthy- garrigue complexity.Structured and very elegant.
