Ronsel do Sil, Mencia Tinto "vel 'uveyra" 2023 Ribeira Sacra, Spain

The Roncel do Sit is a notable property in the Ribeira Sacra wine growing region located in the far northwestern corner of Spain. The family farms their small 10ha. estate totally naturally adhering to biodynamic farming principles. All vineyard work is done by hand as the steeply terraces, dating from Roman tines, preclude any mechanical work of any kind. This bottling is made predominantly with the local Mencia grape, blended with small percentages of Garnacha and the indigenous Negreda. It is an beautiful wine: brightly colored, aromatic of red fruits, cherry spice and white pepper. Fresh and bright on the palate with superb balance and purity of fruit. Plenty of pleasure in a bottle!
